Swiss medtech company opens first store in Hungary
Bloom Diagnostics’ new store will mark the launch of its commercial activity in Hungary and follows the opening of its first store in Zurich
HUNGARY: On September 2nd 2022, Bloom Diagnostics celebrated the opening of its first store in Hungary. This store, located in the center of Budapest, is Bloom’s overall second store after the opening of its flagship store in Zurich in 2021.
The opening of this store coincides with the launch of Bloom’s commercial activities and of its products in Hungary, including the Bloom Lab and the full range of Bloom Tests, namely the Bloom Ferritin, Thyroid, Inflammation, and Kidney Tests. The opening of Bloom’s second store is part of the company’s ongoing expansion in Europe and follows the launch of commercial activities in the UK and Italian markets earlier this summer.
Tom Kupper, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Bloom Diagnostics added that “we are thrilled to finally launch in Hungary with a strong local partner to help 10 million Hungarians and make healthcare more accessible. This is another step in Bloom's growing coverage throughout Europe.”
In the store, customers will be able to purchase and use any available Bloom Test. If needed, customers will be assisted by the store’s employees for guidance through the testing process. The team is happy to explain the Bloom System in more detail and answer any questions customers may have about it. Angelica Kohlmann, MD PhD, Co-founder and Chairperson at Bloom Diagnostics, adds that “Bloom will contribute to a better access to healthcare in the country, together with a highly professional, local team.”
Tibor Terman, who owns the new Bloom Store, added, “I am confident in our success because I know that the great team of both Bloom Diagnostics and Hear & Go will do everything they can to serve and support one of our most important values: health!”
Bloom Diagnostics was founded in 2018 by Dr. Angelica Kohlmann and Tom Kupper. In 2020 and 2021 the company closed funding rounds to further strengthen R&D and drive expansion throughout Europe. Bloom Diagnostics’ early investors include Speedinvest from Austria and the Canadian Walter Group. Bloom Diagnostics aims to rapidly add meaningful new features to its range of capabilities to accelerate the pace of clinical discoveries and, ultimately, the development of new therapies.
